There is nothing in our lives we can’t pray about. Barking dogs, bad hair, tight hamstrings, messy closets…nothing. God wants it all. Remember, prayer is an act of obedience and he knows being obedient in all things takes practice on our part. So hit your knees often.
Sometimes, words fail us – especially when a topic as large as fear is on the table. And while God can hear our silent desire to reach him, we also need to verbalize exactly what we ask of him. Consider the below Prayer Points on Fear to be conversation starters for you and God.
Ask him about your obedience. Is there an area where you are resisting his leading?
Ask him about your priorities. Is there something you are putting above what is most important to you and him?
Ask him about your schedule. Are you putting your energy and time toward what he deems best?
Ask him about your prayer time. Does he want you more focused or more intentional?
Ask him about your family. Is there a relationship that needs attention?
Ask him about your friends. Is there someone he needs you to step away from? Or more toward?
Ask him about your finances. Is this an area that needs more attention or obedience?
Ask him about to show you any area of your life that would be more comfortable if he were more involved.
Ask him for a check on your goals. Is this where he wants you to go?
Matthew 7:7-8 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”
